Good Food Show Live 2011

On a dark, freezing November morning 4 teachers and 37 KS3 & 4 students set off to the Good Food Show Live 2011 at the Birmingham NEC. Mrs Whitehall described how After arriving at 9.15am the students set of in groups to explore and research the huge variety of foods on offer at the show. Our students were able to try new foods that haven’t hit the market yet; from the hottest curry in the world to handmade vanilla and raspberry fudge. At 12.00pm we all met up to watch the Rick Stein demonstration where he and his son showed us how to cook a squid and mackerel from scratch. After the demonstration had finished the students were allowed to go and watch the numerous other demonstrations around the show; Masterchef, James Martin and Saturday Kitchen. Finally, after a long day we left the show at 2.30pm.

Mrs Whitehall would like to thank all the staff and the students involved in making the day fantastic!!
