Bike Club
Community and Primary Bike Club
Hope Valley College Bike Club is an independent sports club developed through Bike Club (www.bikeclub.org.uk) and affiliated to the CTC (www.ctc.org.uk). The club will organise regular Saturday morning rides throughout the year led by a qualified bike leader. All participants must join the Club (£1.00 annual subscription), have a bike that is in good working order and have all appropriate safety equipment - a helmet is essential. We are looking to developa more formal Primary programme which may incur more costs - details to be confirmed.
Community Bike Club Rides
Community Bike Club rides are aimed at people who are just entering the sport, thinking about taking it up or regulars who want to learn new routes and meet new people. All ability levels are welcome and we will tailor rides to meet your needs. The rides are for over 11's only at present and riders take part at their own risk. Under 18's must be supervised by an adult. You must also bring sufficient food and water for the rides, and tools/spare inner tubes if possible. This is a great opportunity to improve your fitness, meet new people and learn new routes! We have 2 qualified Trail Leaders who will lead the rides.
If for any reason the session is cancelled due to bad weather or other un-forseen circumstances we will notify riders on this page of the college website by 8.00am on the day of the ride.
