Drama Extra Curricular
Over 200 students aged 11-16 years and staff have been involved in an exciting and vibrant production of the musical ‘Back To The 80s’ at Hope Valley College. The musical was written by Neil Gooding and is set in an American High School. The Company have been working on the production since last November and the performance ran over 4 nights. Lead roles were played by Simon Dickinson (Corey Palmer Senior), Liam Rowland (Corey Palmer Junior), Alice Shaw (Tiffany Houston), Lizzie Wright (Cyndi Gibson) and Eddie Gosney (Michael Feldman) with a strong supporting cast and chorus.
Director Alison Scorer said ”We are very proud of the exemplary creativity and commitment our students have displayed in order to 
produce this energetic and entertaining show". Parents and friends really enjoyed the show and comments included “Congratulations, what a wonderful performance, a real treat for us in the audience last night. We were blown away by the chorus and so many of the solo singers; with a special mention to Eileen and Tiffany's duet which was spine tingling. Thank you to all the staff for all their hard work.”
