Invitation to Year 11 English Exam information session
Parents of Year 11 students are invited to an information session about the English exam students in Y11 are taking on Tuesday 10 January. This is the final exam for the GCSE English Language course, after which students will be able to focus on English Literature or Functional Skills English.
Because of the importance of this exam we are hoping all parents will help their students prepare well for it over the next five weeks. To that end we would like to explain the format of the exam to parents and suggest the activities that will most benefit your child's preparation. This will take place in the Peveril building on Tuesday 6 December at 6.00pm.
Important Ski Trip letter
Students involved in the February 2012 Ski Trip should have brought home a number of important letters this week.
Letter re strike on 30 November 2011
College will be closed next Wednesday, 30 November, due to the industrial action being undertaken by a number of unions. Where students can be adequately accommodated at home we ask parents to do so. However we will have some staff in College and can supervise and provide lunch for limited numbers of students where parents can not keep them at home. If you wish your child to be in College on that day we need you to notify us beforehand as detailed in the letter below, which came home with students on Friday 25 November.
