Pledges
We have always taken learning beyond the classroom seriously, and 'Pledges' are a demonstration of that commitment that we hope will encourage all students to see the importance of the bigger educational picture.
We are asking students to aspire to and achieve a range of 'pledges' in their time at Hope Valley College. We will guarantee the opportunity – they must take advantage of that.

Realsmart
Students are expected to submit evidence for the Pledges using Realsmart.
How to Use Realsmart
Realsmart is an online portfolio building package. Students can use Realsmart to submit and build a portfolio of evidence, and we would like them to use it to show how they have achieved the pledges. The students can then look at their progress and teachers can view their evidence, adding feedback if required. Realsmart also has a number of tools that students can use to create pieces of work, including a web-site building tool (Rweb) and a mind-map tool (Rmap).
How to login to Realsmart
Use the link in the 'students' tab on the front page of the College website or go to https://www.rlsmart.net/hopevalley
