Headteacher's Update 3 October 2025

Dear Parents and Carers
We have come to the end of my favourite two weeks in school when our partner Danish School visits us. It is such a privilege to have this connection, one that has run for nearly 20 years. We talk to the students who take part about making life-long friends and this is true for staff as well. What has been pleasing this year is how complimentary they have been about our young people and how welcoming they are. This does not surprise me, as I know that this is one of the strengths of our student body, but I would in particular like to thank our Buddies. They have done a tremendous job over the last two weeks, and I hope they have made life-long connections with their Danish Buddies.
We have also had good sporting news this week with our Gold Mark for sports and again this shows how students are prepared to get involved in activities. There is more information below about our extra-curricular activities so I hope you will encourage your young person to take full advantage.
What's going on in school:
- Drama club is back in full swing! Led by our wonderful GCSE drama students, this week Y7 students explored set design by building their own sets with our 3D models. Well done drama club 🎠If your young person would like to attend, Drama club takes place on Friday Lunch in the drama studio.
